Thank you for joining the ART in Embassies Registry.
The mission of the ART in Embassies program provides artwork by U.S. citizens to international exhibitions at U.S. Ambassador's residences. You only need to register once to upload images. In order for our curators and the ambassadors to see your work for consideration, you must upload images. For our office to view your images properly, please scale your images to a maximum size of 8 by 10 inches before uploading.
Please read and acknowledge the following License and Release form before proceeding to the upload section.
License and Release Form:
In consideration of the opportunity to participate in the ART in Embassies Program On-Line Visual Artists' Registry Database (the "On-Line Registry") administered by the ART in Embassies Program, U.S. Department of State, I hereby grant permission and license to the ART in Embassies Program, U.S. Department of State to digitize images of my artwork and to include up to ten (10) of such images (images should be updated at least once every two years) in the On-Line Registry, which will be publicly accessible by Internet connection. ART in Embassies Program may create "low resolution" digital versions of these images to conserve electronic storage space and as a possible deterrent to copyright infringement. Furthermore, I acknowledge that should I choose to digitize and upload images to the registry from my end, that the terms laid out in this agreement still apply.
I represent and warrant that I have the full and unrestricted right to grant this permission and that the works I submit to the Registry are original and do not infringe the copyright or any other proprietary right of any other person or organization.
Neither the ART in Embassies Program nor the U.S. Department of State is under any obligation to continue to offer the On-Line Registry service, and may discontinue such service and/or delete any artwork from the On-Line Registry at any time.
I agree that neither, the United States of America, U.S. Department of State, nor any of their officials, agents or employees, nor ART in Embassies Program nor any of their officials, agents or employees shall bear any responsibility or liability for infringement of my copyright, trademarks or any other rights by third parties as a result of the availability of my artwork or contact information on the On-Line Registry, and I will indemnify and absolve ART in Embassies Program, U.S. Department of State, their officials, agents, and employees from and against all claims, suits, damages and costs arising out of or resulting from the use of the artwork and images. I shall be solely responsible for securing any copyright registrations I deem necessary to protect my rights in the artwork and images.
